Commentary Drive

About the course:
Commentary driving involves describing aloud exactly what you are doing as you are driving, and what you are doing to avoid potential risks. It’s useful for both experienced and learner drivers.
Objectives:
The aim of Commentary Drive training is train the participants to produce a verbal commentary of potential hazards during driving.
It gives students more confidence in themselves and their driving skills and abilities. It empowers students by encouraging dialogue and self-assessment. It limits distractions of the driver as it should only be the driver making comments doing the talking.
Course Learning Outcomes:
Commentary Driving Evaluates Students ability to:
• Recognize and practice problem solving
• Recognize the vast number of things a driver should be watching for and that driving is a full time job
• Implements the knowledge and driving skills previously learned
• Judge how far ahead one should observe and how early to start taking action.
• Use eyes efficiently
• Recognize hazardous situations in time

This training course will be presented using properly designed slides, some with animation and several videos on relevant issues.
