The risk of unsuitable placement of LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) propane-butane filling stations in densely populated areas or in the immediate vicinity of busy roads may have, in the event of fire or explosion, incalculable consequences in terms of fatal or serious accidents and cause considerable economic damage to property.

This course will cover:

  • The proper protective equipment to use for propane contact.
  • The suitable placement of propane dispensing equipment.
  • Fire extinguisher usage in case of emergency.
  • Emergency shutdown and emergency response plan.
  • The proper propane handling procedures.
  • Propane tanks and cylinders inspection procedures.

At the end of the course, the Participant should be able to:

  • Safely handling the propane cylinders.
  • Operate and maintain propane dispensing equipment, including the shutdown system.
  • Inspect the propane tank before being refilled.
  • Understanding the proper refilling procedure (before & after).
  • Understanding the loading & off-loading regulations.
