Work at Height

Our fall protection training program will provide participants with an understanding of their responsibilities when working in areas where fall hazards exist. The course covers controls necessary to reduce the risk of a fall, and instruction regarding the use and inspection, and donning and doffing, or harnesses.

Objectives:

Enable professionals to identify, plan and authorize the release for entry in confined space in order to assess, monitor and control the risks in order to ensure the safety and health of people who take part directly and indirectly in this task.

Course Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course the attendee will be able to know:

  • Hazards associated with work at height.
  • Heat related hazards.
  • Medical fitness requirement for working at height.
  • Proper planning and supervision.
  • Safe systems of working at heights.
  • Personal protective equipment.
  • How & where to use full body harness.
  • Fall arrestors and their usage.
  • How & where to use life lines.
  • Fall protection techniques.
  • Hazard identification (associated with working at height).
  • Control measures.
  • Buddy System.
  • Recovery measures and emergency response in case of accident.

 Target Audience:

Workers in activities performed above two meters high, professionals requiring rope access, structure assemblers, civil and military firefighters, tele-mast, steel fixers, scaffolders, riggers, inspectors and others performing work at heights.

How will this Training Course be presented?

This training course will be presented using properly designed slides, some with animation and several videos on relevant issues.
